What cookies are
Cookies are small files that a website saves on your device. Websites can also save information in your browser in other ways, called "local storage" and "session storage". In this policy, we call all of these "cookies".
This website is run by Telqaris Limited, trading as Telqaris.
Our approach
We keep cookies to a minimum. We do not use any tracking, analytics or advertising cookies. We do not share cookie information with advertising or analytics companies.
We only use cookies that:
- are needed to make our website work and keep it secure, or
- remember a choice you have made (such as light or dark mode, or asking us not to count your visits).
Fonts, images and scripts for the public site are served from our own servers.
Why you will not see a cookie banner
The items listed below are either strictly necessary for a service you ask for (for example signing in to the customer portal), or storage we set only because you asked for a feature (for example the theme switch or the "stop counting my visits" button).
Under the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR) regulation 6(4), those uses do not need a consent banner. You will not see a cookie banner on this website while we only use the items listed below. If we ever add non-essential cookies (for example advertising or third-party analytics), we will update this policy and ask for your consent first.
The cookies and storage we use
Browsing the public website alone does not set a theme cookie until you use the light/dark switch. Visit counting does not use an analytics cookie.

Website statistics (no analytics cookie)
We count visits with our own tool on our own servers. Counting does not set a tracking or analytics cookie. It uses our server logs and a simple same-site event beacon. The only statistics-related cookie is tq_stats_off, and that is set only if you ask us to stop counting.
- Detailed website visit records: kept for 7 days. After that we keep only anonymous totals that cannot identify you (about 25 months for those totals).
- Security log: separately, our web server keeps a log of visits including IP addresses for 7 days to spot and stop attacks, then deletes it (after that, anonymous counts only).

Customer portal
The header Customer login link goes to our customer portal on a separate host. The portal cookies above (sign-in, form protection, and portal colour choice) apply when you use the portal, not while you only browse the public website. If the portal cookie names change when the portal move finishes, we will update this table.
How to control cookies
You can:
- choose not to use the theme switch, so we do not save a theme choice
- choose not to use the home/business switch, so we do not save an audience choice
- use the stats opt-out on our website (sets
tq_stats_off) - block or delete cookies and browser storage in your browser settings
The public website should still work if you block optional storage. Blocking portal sign-in cookies will stop you staying signed in.
